I
grew up in Eugene, Oregon and attended an IB High School which sparked my
interest in the IB program and global awareness. I went to Colby College
in Maine for my undergraduate degree in English and Creative Poetry, followed
by CU Boulder for my Masters in Elementary Education with an endorsement
in second language instruction. I am so excited to be at Whittier teaching
Kindergarten. What a magical age for learning, discovery, and fun! This
will be a special year for all of us. |

Background |

I
am thrilled to be teaching kindergarten at Whittier! This is my fourth year
at this wonderful school and I so enjoy the kindergarten year of discovery.
I have a Master's degree in Education from the University of Colorado with
a specialization in ESL/Bilingual Education and my B.A. is in theater from
UCLA. My hobbies include improvisational comedy, reading and exercising,
but I most enjoy spending time with my family - my husband Jack and my three
children: Halen, Sheila Maggie and Leo. I'm looking forward to a terrific
2007-2008 school year! |
