Students understand the importance of physical and mental balance and personal well-being.
They are aware of the need to be effective communicators.
They use literature for both learning and for enjoyment.
In a technological age, they know the importance of logical thought,
mathematical skills, and processing information.

They also understand the needs of their own bodies,
making decisions & taking action to ensure their health & that of others.
They accept ambiguity and uncertainty as parts of life,
and they have an ability to continue on without having all the answers, without finding solutions to all problems, allowing them to live a balanced life even when everything is not known.

"'One skill or attribute need not be developed at the expense of another. Symmetry in our development is much to be desired.' (Ensign, November 1978, p. 104.) This teaching is of importance because it emphasizes that we cannot grow and develop only one part of ourselves to the exclusion of others; to do so becomes the first step to disappointment, or worse." Dr. Libby Hirsch
